CONCLUSION

In sum, it is important to take notice of shows like Burka Avenger, as it symbolizes a not only important, but crucial argument taking place in the world. I chose this topic due to the relevance of its themes, and the fact that often times in Western societies, discrimination and injustices in other religions is often overlooked. It was clear throughout my research that Burka Avenger took a strong stance against many problematic obstacles, namely education for girls, but the way in which it did so by still incorporating Islamic teachings and appropriateness for children was outstanding. It strikes a balance between showcasing Islamic pride and core values, while still opposing what can be referred to as negative societal norms. Unfortunately, in Western societies, shows like Burka Avenger could go unnoticed, due to many of our children shows and media being centered around a Christian, and more recently, agnostic viewpoint. However, it is the purpose of this research to shed some light (a very small fraction of what could be found on this topic) on the issues at hand around the world, while also noticing the direct and obvious references to Quranic teachings, and Islamic beliefs, primarily the practice of nonviolence, peacekeeping, modesty, and educational rights for all.
